Generally, I'm all about the library, but I've been studying elsewhere in the past few days. People are the library are just too high strung. Everybody looks as if they are in pain. Plus, it's impossible to find a good table or study carrel because everybody who never usually studies in the library has come out of the woodwork. My preferred spots have been taken over by newcomers who arrive earlier in the morning than I do.
I've taken to studying anywhere else-- friend's houses, my house, coffee shops, restaurants. I don't think I'm quite as productive as I would be in the library, but at least I don't have to deal with anybody I don't want to. It's not productive to get engaged in a 20-minute stress-freak conversation with anybody who walks by your study carrel and is curious to see what you're doing. I've kind of ended up with a de facto study group, all of whom have their stress levels mostly under control, and it's more than fine with me if I don't have to see anyone else.
I was doing problems with my study group yesterday, and asked them-- "Do you really think there's anybody in our section who couldn't do this and get the right answer?" They thought yes, but... I just don't see how. And I don't even expect to do that well on my exams (I memorize easily, but my reasoning ability is... suspect at best).
